- Courses
- Payments must be made in full 2 weeks before the commencement of the course. A place cannot be reserved until payment is made.
- You must be 16 years of age or over.
- Extra activities are subject to a minimum of 4 students. Schedule is settled by OdP and museum or concert halls entries are the student's responsibility.
- School opens at 9h00 am and closes at 18h00. Lunch Break: 13h00 - 14h00.
- Each lessons consists of 55 minutes.
- Social activities usually start at 4pm.
- Handouts are provided by OdP during the entire length of the course.
- Accommodation notes
- Students are expected to arrive either on a Sunday, leave on a Saturday and stay for a minimum of one week. Accommodation will be charged on a per week basis. Check our Price List for more information on this.
- Students wishing to extend their accommodation after arrival at the school may do so by speaking directly with the hostfamily.
- Each student is responsible for damage caused at his/her hostfamily's
- Cancellations & Refunds
- For students who have not yet arrived
- You give more than two weeks' notice: All tuition, accommodation and transfers will be refunded. A 100€ charge will be made to cover the school’s expenses.
- You give less than two weeks notice: 2 weeks tuition and accommodation will be retained by OdP. The remaining balance will be refunded.
- A full refund will be given in the case of a refused entry visa, but a 100€ charge will be made by Oficina de Portugues to cover expenses. Official proof of refusal from the Portuguese Emabassy or Consulate will be required.
- For students who have started their course
- No refund will be made on tuition fees, but students who wish to defer their programme may do so at no extra cost, within that academic year. In all cases refunds will only be made to the individual who paid Oficina de Portugues for the course. A 5% charge will be deducted from all credit card refunds.
- Accommodation Cancellation
- A 2 week notice period is required for the cancellation of all homestay bookings.
- Insurance
- Before you arrive in Portugal, we strongly recommend that you take out insurance for your own financial and personal security.
